To pick up a paper voter registration application, visit the City Clerk's office, county elections office, library, Department of Motor Vehicles offices, or U.S. post office. It is important that your voter registration application be filled out completely and be postmarked or hand-delivered to your county elections office at least 15 days before the election.

General Municipal Elections are held in November of odd-numbered years and are administered by the City Clerk's Office. Vote-by-Mail Election

  • Tuesday, November 3, 2015
  • New in 2015– the City’s general municipal election will be by-district, rather than at-large. Only voters who live in Districts 1, 2 and 3 will be receiving ballots for the City Council race.
  • Voters who live in the designated districts will be mailed a ballot with prepaid postage on the return envelope.
  • Four drop-off centers throughout the City, allowing voters the option to vote in person. Drop-off center locations are listed below.

Important Election Dates

  • July 13, 2015 - Nomination Period begins (where potential candidates can pull papers to run for City Council)
  • August 7, 2015 - Nomination Period ends
  • October 5, 2015 - Ballots mailed to registered voters in Districts 1, 2 and 3
  • October 19, 2015 - Deadline to register to vote for the November 3rd election.
  • November 3, 2015 - Election day! Ballots must be postmarked by this date.

What's on the Ballot?

Drop-Off Center Hours:

City Hall Drop-Off Center will be open:

  • Tuesday, October 27th, 2015 - Friday, October 30th,2015 and Monday, November 2nd, 2015, during regular City Hall business hours;
  • Saturday, October 31st, 2015, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., and
  • Election Day, Tuesday, November 3rd, 2015, 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
  • All other Drop-Off Center Locations will be open on Election Day, Tuesday, November 3rd, 2015, 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
  • Vote-by-mail ballots can be dropped off in the City Clerk’s Office during regular business hours prior to the Drop-Off Center dates.

The City Clerk's Office is open daily from Monday through Thursday, 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. City Hall is closed every other Friday.
