 | Local High School Students Star in Water Conservation Campaign |
| | This summer’s conservation campaign is based on 3 commercials created by former Dos Pueblos and Cabrillo High School students which were selected from the past 10 years of the Santa Barbara County Water Awareness High School Video Contest. “Hank, the Model Citizen” shows us how easy it is to save water and money, “Water Boy” finds practical ways to use wasted water, and the rappers of “H2 Oh Yeah” rap about indoor and outdoor water conservation.  | Alameda Padre Serra and Mountain Drive Road Construction - Funded by the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act |
| | July through August 2010, the Public Works Department will seal the street surface on Alameda Padre Serra (APS), from Sycamore Canyon Road west to Los Olivos Street, and on Mountain Drive from Los Olivos Street, east to Foothill Road (State Route 192). Construction includes Garcia Road and East De La Guerra Street below APS. Construction will occur Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. Detours will be required.  | Utility Rate Increases Adopted for FY 2011 |
| | The City Council has approved utility rate increases for water, wastewater (sewer), and solid waste collection services effective on bills dated July 1, 2010 or later. This is an annual adjustment to keep pace with the cost of providing services. The Council has also suspended the incentive component of the Sewer Lateral Inspection Program due to significant budget impacts.
