Notice of Change to the Submittal Requirements for the Historic Landmarks Commission (HLC)
The HLC has requested that the number of plans submitted for HLC applications be increased. Their current ability to carefully examine the plan sets is limited due to the need to share three sets of plans among nine members.nbsp;
Beginning in May 2014; projects that are submitted for Full Commissionnbsp;review will now require four (4) sets of plans, rather than three sets. In order to make this new requirement as minimal a burden as possible on applicants, the required size of the drawings will be reduced. The current requirement is for three full-size plan sets. The new requirement will be one full size plan set and three half-size plan sets. All plans must be drawn accurately to a standardized scale. Refer to how larger plan sizes are reduced to half-size dimensions as listed below.
24” by 36” plans reduced down to 12” by 18” size
30” by 42” plans reduced down to 15” by 22” size
36” by 48” plans reduced down to 18” by 24” size
*Note: HLC Consent level review submittal plan size will remain the same with one (1) full size plan set.
