The LDT Bulletin is one way we are increasing communication between the City and our customers. These bulletins will also be located in our lobby area at 630 Garden Street.

The City’s New Zoning Ordinance (NZO) Effort – Module 2!

NZO Module #2: Development Standards is comprised of three development standard components: 1) base zone development standards; 2) overlay zones; and 3) citywide development standards (off-street parking will be addressed in Module #3). Draft Module #2 was reviewed by the NZO Joint Committee and the public in December 2015 and a revised draft is being prepared for Planning Commission review. The staff report and Module will be available for viewing and download at the NZO website Public Meetings page in the first week of March in advance of the informal Open House and Public Workshop/Planning Commission Meeting.

Notice of the staff report and draft Module 2 availability will be provided through the Land Development Team eBulletin.  

We encourage you to stay informed and get involved. The NZO website includes information about public meeting dates and reference materials. The main website is www.SantaBarbaraCa.gov/NZO.

To receive updates of future meetings and workshops regarding the New Zoning Ordinance effort, please subscribe for Notifications of the New Zoning Ordinance at the website dedicated to this effort www.SantaBarbaraCa.gov/NZO under the “Get Involved” tab. Instructions for subscribing for the Notifications of the New Zoning Ordinance are included under the “Get Involved” tab. The persons that subscribe on the website will comprise the City’s general “mailing list” for this effort.
