Urgent! Planning Commission December 14 Hearing on the draft Accessory Dwelling Unit Ordinance Postponed
In light of the impacts of the Thomas Fire, the Planning Commission hearing scheduled for December 14 to review proposed amendments to the Santa Barbara Municipal Code to establish development regulations for Accessory Dwelling Units (ADUs) has been postponed until Thursday, January 11, 2018. The staff report, including the revised draft ADU Ordinance and other attachments, is still available for review on the ADU website at www.santabarbaraca.gov/ADU and on the Planning Commission website at www.santabarbaraca.gov/gov/brdcomm/nz/planning/agendas.asp.
Written public comment on the draft ADU Ordinance will continue to be accepted. Mail correspondence to PC Secretary, P.O. Box 1990, Santa Barbara, CA 93102-1990 or email to PCSecretary@SantaBarbaraCA.gov. Please submit 12 copies of any material over 2 pages at the Planning & Zoning counter, 630 Garden Street. Please note that the Planning Commission may not have time to consider written comments received after 4:30 p.m. on the Monday before the meeting. Also, please note that the Community Development Department office at 630 Garden Street will be closed for the holidays from December 25, 2017 to January 1, 2018, and will re-open on Tuesday, January 2, 2018.
