The City of Santa Barbara is hosting an “Open House” to provide information and answer questions regarding Land Development Team (LDT) regulations and processes. This is an informal meeting and there’s no need to RSVP – please feel free to just show up!

When:  Thursday, December 4, 2014 from 8:00 – 9:00 a.m.

Where:  City of Santa Barbara 630 Garden Street, David Gebhard Public Meeting Room

Open House Topics:

  • Brief update on the New Zoning Ordinance (NZO) process. More information can be found at
  • Brief update on implementation of the Average Unit-Size Density (AUD) Incentive Program, including a recent Municipal Code amendment (effective November 20, 2014) requiring Planning Commission conceptual review of certain rental projects.
  • Overview and discussion of a new checklist to help applicants comply with City development regulations and standards.

LDT representatives from Community Development (Planning and Building & Safety Divisions), Fire and Public Works (Transportation and Engineering Divisions) Departments will be available to answer questions.
