SLIP Resources for Commercial and Industrial Businesses

Due to the aging sewer system, the City of Santa Barbara has renewed its efforts during the past ten years to address the number of private sewer lateral spills.  In 2013, the Sewer Lateral Inspection Program (SLIP) began sending commercial, condominium, and multi-unit (4+) residential buildings letters to have their sewer laterals inspected.  In order to inspect all these laterals, the City has scheduled these properties for inspection before 2023.  The map below shows the location of completed and planned scheduled SLIP cases.

The resources below are intended to help commercial property owners with the responsibility to maintain and repair their building's sewer lateral.
