The City of Santa Barbara will hold public information meetings on Wednesday, February 18th and Thursday, February 26th to discuss the drought, desalination, and proposed water rates. Both meetings start at 6:00 pm and will be held in the City of Santa Barbara Council Chambers at 735 Anacapa St, Santa Barbara, CA, 93101.
The meetings will start with a presentation providing information on the City’s water supplies, current drought conditions, the City’s Water Shortage Plan, desalination timeline, proposed water rates, and conservation opportunities. Following the presentation, there will be a facilitated question and answer period.
The meeting on the 18th will be recorded and aired live at 6:00 pm on City TV Channel 18. It will also be replayed on Friday 2/20 at 11:00 am, Saturday 2/21 at 7:00 pm and 10:00 pm, Sunday 2/22 at 8:00 pm, and Tuesday 2/24 at 11:30 am.
