Community Services, part of the Parks and Recreation Department, provides outreach to underserved youth and teens, improves services to families, enhances neighborhoods, builds community pride through preservation projects, and creates a healthier community. Community Gardens

The Parks and Recreation Department manages three community gardens: at Pilgrim Terrace, Rancheria, and Yanonali Gardens. The gardens are conveniently located near the Franklin and Westside Community Centers. These rentable garden plots provide Santa Barbara residents with accessible and low-cost gardens, where they can grow organic vegetables, herbs, and flowers.
