City Park staff inspects, maintains, and repairs parks for the safety of residents and visitors. City Parks staff implements the Wildland Fire Management Plan in City parks to protect lives, property, and natural resources threatened by wildland fire.

Park visitors can contribute to their own and others’ safety in parks by doing the following:

• Stay on paths
• Use playground equipment and other park facilities for their intended use and age
•  Adhere to park hours and regulations
• Keep dogs on-leash where allowed in parks, or off-leash in approved areas

In the event of an emergency, please call the Santa Barbara Police Dispatch at 897-2410.  The Police Dispatcher will decide whether the Police or a Park Ranger is dispatched.
