Parma Park

Learn more about the Parma Park Sustainable Trails Project currently underway here.

This open space is known for its trails for hiking and horseback riding. Parma has panoramic views of the Cielito neighborhood and all the way down to the ocean. Large Coast Live Oaks line the hillsides, and there are creekside habitats and lots of wildlife to see. An olive grove left by the land’s former owners, the Parma family, is recovering nicely after devastating fire damage from the Tea Fire. Mountain bikes are allowed only on the fire road. Please note that portable barbecues are not allowed at Parma Park because of high fire danger—many devastating wildfires, including the Tea Fire and Thomas Fire, burned portions of the park. Please do all you can to help us protect this natural chaparral landscape from further fire damage.
