Alameda Park

Covering two blocks, Alameda Park is one of the oldest City parks - originally, it was six whole blocks, known as Alameda Plaza. The park features rare trees and a bandstand built in 1888 for local concerts. The park is also home to Kids’ World, an 8,000-square-foot wooden playground for two- to twelve-year-olds, with a castle, swings, and slides.

Alameda Park’s many picnic sites are very popular for children’s parties - some are drop-in, and you can rent the Harriet Miller, Castle, Alameda Main, and Whale sites. Alameda Park fills up with happy festival-goers in the spring and summer, when it hosts Earth Day and the Summer Solstice festivals.
