Tunnel trail is one of Santa Barbara’s most popular trails for hikers and bikers alike.  The trails popularity comes from its challenge as well its views of waterfalls and ocean vistas. 

The trailhead begins roughly ¾ a mile up Tunnel Road and climbs for nearly 4 miles to Gibraltar Road, at roughly 3,400 feet elevation.

All of Santa Barbara’s front country trails are challenging due to their steep incline, rocky terrain, and drop-offs.  Please use caution.

Elevation Gain: 1,588 feet

Elevation Loss: 230 feet
