The Jesusita trail is a highly popular 4.5-mile trail that begins just after the Cater Water Treatment plant at the end of San Roque Road. The trail winds its way through riparian habitat up San Roque Canyon and chaparral habitat to its summit at 1,800 feet elevation. This is also a popular viewing point known as “Inspiration Point”. The trail then moves down the back side of the mountain to its junction with Tunnel trail and ends along Tunnel road.
Hikers are rewarded at the summit with views of the City, Lauro Canyon Reservoir, and the Channel Islands.
