Here at the City of Santa Barbara Parks and Recreation Department, we’re all about environmental stewardship, enjoyment of nature, and promoting health and wellness. We’re happy to tell you about just a few fun things we offer.

Summer Camps with an Environmental Theme

We’re looking forward to a super-fun, safe summer this year at Parks and Rec summer camps. Many of our camps focus on appreciation of nature, including:

  • Nature Camp
  • Ocean Explorers and Adventure Camp
  • Lobster Jo’s Beach Camp

A City Full of Parks to Explore

Do you have a copy of the Parks and Recreation Map of Santa Barbara? If you’re looking for new natural spaces to explore, you can download a PDF copy (it prints nicely at 11x17) or send an email to to ask us to mail you a paper copy.

Community Gardens
