Fitness Providers Sought for Carrillo Recreation Center

As a result of the COVID-19 Pandemic, many of the regular fitness and dance classes at the Carrillo Recreation Center have had to reassess their business model and facility needs for when the Carrillo Recreation Center reopens. Additionally, the Parks and Recreation Department has received increasing interest from fitness and dance providers looking to use the Carrillo Recreation Center to offer their programming to the community. Given this rare opportunity, the City of Santa Barbara Parks and Recreation Department will be opening a RFP (Request of Proposal) for fitness/dance providers to submit their proposals for group classes in anticipation of the reopening of the Carrillo Recreation Center.

Since its inception, the Carrillo Recreation Center has served as a popular fitness/dance destination for Santa Barbara families and visitors. With the reopening of the building the City seeks partners to provide a welcoming and comprehensive fitness/dance classes. This opportunity is open to experienced fitness/dance providers with at least three consecutive years of experience operating a fitness/dance studio, teaching group fitness/dance classes, and providing personal training services.
