Santa Barbara Golf Club, the City of Santa Barbara’s municipal golf course, is closed until further notice. Many local golf courses and other non-essential businesses have shut down following the recent statewide stay-at-home order that aims to slow the spread of COVID-19, the disease caused by the novel coronavirus. The Parks and Recreation Department has taken steps to secure “Muni” and ensure this much-loved golf course will be well-maintained and ready to re-open for play as soon as safely possible.
Most parks remain open during their normal hours of sunrise to a half hour after sunset, but Franceschi Park, Hilda McIntyre Ray Park, and Skofield Park are closed. All indoor recreation facilities are closed, as are all playgrounds and outdoor exercise equipment in City parks, all tennis courts and beach volleyball courts, and Skater's Point skatepark.
