COVID-19 NOTE: The Kids-Only Skate Time will continue to take place at Skater’s Point on Saturday’s from 9:00-11:00AM, but it will not be enforced by City staff and there will not be free instruction by our wonderful instructors. Kids-Only Skate Time may be cancelled and Skater’s Point may be closed to the public when the City is providing programming at the park. Please contact Youth Activities for a schedule of park programming: RAP@SantaBarbaraCA.gov or 805-564-5495
Young skateboarders will love the Parks and Recreation Department’s Skate Saturdays kids-only skate time and free skateboarding clinic, every Saturday from 9:00-11:00AM.
We know that younger skaters can be intimidated by using an all-ages skatepark, so we continue to offer two full hours of kids-only skate time and free skateboarding instruction every Saturday morning, year-round. Kids ages 12 and under have Skater’s Point to themselves, for a friendly, supportive, safe environment led by our expert skatepark staff.
Join us this Saturday from 9:00-11:00AM at Skater’s Point! Convenient paid parking is available in the Waterfront parking lot at Garden and Cabrillo Streets, directly adjacent to the skatepark, and there is often street parking available nearby. Stay and watch, or drop your little shredders off at Skater’s Point and enjoy a walk or ride along the beach bike path.
Please call our Youth Activities office at (805) 564-5495 (open Monday through Friday, 9AM to 5PM) with any questions you may have.
Skate Saturdays participants must wear all safety equipment required by law, and please note that this is a skateboarding-only program, so scooters and bikes are not allowed.

Note: Skate Saturday is canceled on Saturday, September 17, as volunteers from the United Way Day of Caring will be painting the skatepark and performing other improvements.
