Soledad Street Bioswale on Sycamore CreekThe Soledad Street Bioswale was constructed in 2008 by a Creeks Division intern and participants in the City's Youth Apprentice Program.

The bioswale is planted with native plants, and designed to slow and naturally treat storm water and urban runoff as it meanders through the constructed creek bed before it reaches Sycamore Creek.

By slowing the water down, pollutants are allowed to soak into the ground to be broken down by microbes in the soil, native plants, and sunlight.
