CAUSE and Santa Barbara Public Library to Host Foro Inquilino / Tenant's Forum

On Wednesday, September 5, Central Coast Alliance United for a Sustainable Economy (CAUSE), in partnership with the Central Library, is hosting a Foro Inquilino/Tenant's Forum. From 6:00 - 8:00 PM in the Central Library's Faulkner Gallery, the community is invited to express their concerns and needs as tenants in the City of Santa Barbara.

City Council members will be present at the event to listen to community concerns. In addition, attendees will learn how to advocate to city and state governments to pass protections for tenants' rights. This includes protections against unjust evictions, safe living conditions, and information on Proposition 10, which will restore the right of local communities to protect renters from unfair rent increases.

The event will be in Spanish, and interpreted to English.

To stay informed individuals can access the SBPL web calendar with all events, programs, and classes and/or sign-up for the SBPL newsletter in English or Spanish. Visit the Santa Barbara Public Library System online at SBPLibrary.org for information about library hours, locations, programs and services.
