MakeSB continues to highlight making and creating in all forms wherever ideas may originate, as the library welcomes Wild Animals to the Central Library Tuesday, September 4th at 7 PM. Wild Animals will be joined by local Santa Barbara bands Goldy and David a la Mode.
Wild Animals is a power-trio that balances loud, fast, powerful riffs with thoughtful arrangements and contrasts in tempo to ultimately breathe new life into the quintessential rock sounds that are the foundation of the band. With roots in Madrid, Spain and a sound refined playing DIY-shows throughout Europe, Wild Animals will be coming to Santa Barbara as part of a two-week tour of the west coast (and their first time playing in the United States).
Rounding out the bill are Santa Barbara bands Goldy and David a la Mode. Each band brings their unique strengths to bear on the evening: Goldy with their dissonant fuzzed out indie surf-rock, and David a la mode with their feel-good pop-rock jams.
The ability to make and create will also be available for all attendees as there will be button making, metal stamping, and typewriters for all to use.
All MakeSB performers are paid for their participation via mini-grant funds provided by the Santa Barbara Public Library. For booking inquiries or to inquire about future shows, email firstname.lastname@example.org. Information about Santa Barbara Public Library System locations, hours, events, and programs is available at SBPLibrary.org. All Library programs are free and open to the public.
