Enjoy Activities at the Carpinteria Library During the Current Storm

Noting the Carpinteria Unified School District has closed their schools due to the Mandatory Evacuation notices for the current storm, the Carpinteria Branch of the Santa Barbara Public Library System currently remains open and is a safe and dry place for children and families.

Additional crafts and activities will be available for all to engage in, as well as Chromebook use and regularly available collection materials. The Carpinteria Library hours for today, Wednesday 21st are 10:00am – 7:30pm.

As a community hub, the Central Library remains open and has a continuously updated information kiosk with important storm information along with an evacuation map.

The Montecito Branch is closed at least through the remainder of today and will reopen pending evacuation orders being lifted.

And as always, books, audiobooks, movies, and music are available electronically for those who aren’t able to come in through Overdrive and Hoopla.

If you have questions, please call to check on the status of your materials: (805) 969-5063. If you have been impacted by any of the recent events and have questions about your library account, please contact us. We are here to help!
