As the Montecito community is reentering their homes and businesses, the Santa Barbara Public Library will be reopening the doors to the Montecito Library branch on Tuesday morning.
Having been closed for almost three weeks, SBPL is pleased to be able to welcome back patrons and the community and offer a safe space to all. The library will be back to regular days and hours starting on Tuesday at 10:00 am.
The library itself did not sustain any damage and remains a comfortable place to read and check out materials. Internet access and WiFi will be available. N95 masks are also being distributed to assist with protection during the cleanup efforts. Our hearts remain with the residents of Montecito, and we are committed to ensuring that library services are open and available to the community as we begin to rebuild and recover.
If you have requested library materials from another location to be picked up at the Montecito Library, these will be available for pick-up. If you have questions, please call to check on the status of your materials: (805) 969-5063. If you have been impacted by any of the recent events and have questions about your library account, please contact us. We are here to help!
Visit the Santa Barbara Public Library online at SBPLibrary.org for our contact information, as well as information about library hours, locations, programs and services. All library programs are free and open to the public.
