Vets Connect @ the Library

In partnership with the California Department of Veterans Affairs (CalVet) and the California State Library, SBPL is pleased to help veterans and their families. The focus of this program is to provide information to reintegrate California veterans into the California workforce and our communities in order to provide veterans the quality of life of other Americans.

The goals of Vets Connect are to:

  1. Provide veteran benefits and local service information to veterans and family members, and links to other organizations serving veterans especially local County Veteran Service Offices, CalVet and the Federal VA.
  2. Increase California veteran benefit claims.
  3. Connect veterans and their families to library resources.

The Central Library’s Vets Connect offers office hours with our County Veterans Services Officer the second and fourth Mondays of the month from 1:30 – 3:30 PM. To make an appointment, call 805-962-7653.

Visit our Veterans Resources page for links to further information on employment, housing, health, disability and other benefits that may be available to you and your family.
