SBPL Works!

Whether you need help finding a job or building the skills you need to get a job, the Santa Barbara Public Library is there for you. 

Our professional educators provide one-on-one job search assistance and computer lessons, as well as assistance with learning communication skills. Services include:

  • Job search tips and strategies 
  • Assistance completing job applications and writing professional resumes and cover letters
  • Computer lessons (basic skills, typing, MS Office - including Excel, Google Drive, and networking) 
    • Currently offering: Basic Computer Skills classes (Beginner, Intermediate, and Advanced) and Microsoft Excel classes (Beginner, Intermediate, and Advanced).

  • Practice interviewing

This program is free and open to all and by appointment. Services are available in Spanish.
