Meeting Rooms

Meeting rooms are available to local organizations located within the service area of the Santa Barbara Public Library. Rooms are available at the Central Library, Carpinteria Branch Library, and Eastside Branch Library.

How to Reserve a Meeting Room

Central Library

  • Any questions about room reservation policy and availability can be answered in-person at the Library or by calling the library location
  • Once the application is completed, please mail the application and your check to:

  • Once we have received your application with an enclosed check, it will take approximately 24 hours for you to view your booking online.

Additional charges:

  • Ability to serve refreshments
    • Central Library/Faulkner Gallery - $75.00 per event
    • All Other Meeting Rooms and Spaces  - $30.00 per event
  • Use of Audiovisual (A/V) equipment in Faulkner Gallery - $200.00 for initial three (3) hour period, $50.00 each additional hour. 
  • Use of Office or Audiovisual (A/V) equipment in Tech Lab - $100.00 for initial three (3) hour period, $50.00 for each additional hour. 
  • Deposit for use of Audio Visual (A/V) or Office Equipment in Tech Lab - $500.00. 
  • Use of Exhibit Space
    •  Central Library/Faulkner Gallery - $625.00 per month. 
    • Central Library/Faulkner Gallery East or Faulkner Gallery West - $190.00 per month. 

At the discretion of the Library Direction, the above fees may be waived for City and County governmental agencies, and for those activities which are endorsed or provided as a part of a the Library program. 

  • Closed Hours Use of Central Library Galleries - If time includes closed hour use at the Central Library, there will be an additional charge of $25.00 per hour or part thereof for staff, in addition to the applicable room rate. 
  • Use of Meeting Rooms Beyond the Contracted Time - Half the hourly rate, or a minimum of $12.50, whichever is greater. The fee will be charged every fifteen (15) minutes or part thereof the meeting goes past the contracted time.
