Volunteer Opportunities

Teen Services Survey

Teens may receive 2 community service hours for completing a survey about how they use the Library and its collections. This survey is anonymous, and we appreciate your honesty when answering the questions. We ask that you take your time and answer the questions thoughtfully and completely. Once you finish the survey, you will be redirected to a form to document your community service hours. You will need to complete this second form in order to receive your hours.

Click here to begin the survey.

Have questions? Encounter a problem? Feel free to contact Librarian Lisa Neubert at or 805-564-5605.

Eastside Teen Advisory Board

Help plan events for other teens, suggest books for the collection, and more! You and your fellow TAB members decide what projects to work on. Contact Librarian Lisa Neubert for more information at or 805-564-5605.

Ideal Teen Advisory Board members should be excited about getting involved in their community.

OG Reading Tutor with Youth Services

Are you great with kids? Volunteers who are 16 or over are welcome to complete an 8-hour training to become a formal Orton-Gillingham reading tutor and be assigned to a specific child to schedule sessions. All tutoring sessions are virtual at this time.

Ideal volunteers are patient, exhibit strong reading skills, and engage well with children.
