Hundreds of thousands of physical materials and extensive digital resources from the Santa Barbara Public Library are now available to students of the Santa Barbara Unified School District. Parents or guardians are able to opt-in their children to receive a card at enrollment, or at any time through the Aeries platform.
The Student Success library card is not a physical card - the library card number is tied to a student's ID number: 21447000+student ID number.
Anytime a PIN is required for access a library resource, it will be the last four of the primary phone number provided. If a phone number wasn't available in your Aeries profile, the default is 1234, or call the Library at (805) 962-7653 to reset or select a PIN.

All library services and resources are free.
What about fines for overdue books?
Santa Barbara Public Library does not charge fines for overdue materials. If library materials are more than 30 days late, a lost item fee will be charged. It is possible to have a regular Library Card and a Student Success Library Card. Student Success Library Cards are intended to be used for school-related activities.
