SANTA BARBARA, CA – December 21, 2015
The Santa Barbara Airport (SBA) wishes everyone a Happy Holiday Season! We are grateful for the opportunity to serve visitors from all over the world this holiday and want to make sure flight arrivals and departures via SBA are an easy and pleasant experience.
We do encourage passengers to please arrive ninety minutes early, as almost all flights are booked to capacity, which means the lines through security may actually take more than three minutes this time of year.
While you can bring wrapped gifts through the security checkpoint, the Transportation Safety Administration (TSA) recommends that you wrap gifts after your flight or ship them ahead of time. This way you will avoid having to potentially open them during the screening process.
TSA has issued these travel tips to make the checkpoint experience go smoothly:

PARKING: There is plenty of convenient parking within a short distance of the Airline Terminal.
Short Term Parking Lot: 500 Fowler Road, directly across from the Terminal entrance, is a convenient option for those dropping off or picking up passengers. Those who travel for short durations may also wish to consider this parking option at $20 day - $2 first hour | $1 each additional.
Long Term Parking Lot: 500 Fowler Road, located adjacent to the Terminal, is but a short walk to ticketing. The rates are $12 day | $2 first hour | $1 each additional.
Cell Phone Lots: For those picking up friends and family and who do not wish to park, please use our Cell Phone lot at the WWII Memorial, off James Fowler Road.
Due to the Transportation Security Administration’s security regulations, vehicles are not permitted to park at the Airline Terminal curb unless active loading or unloading is taking place.
Happy Holidays from the Santa Barbara Airport!
