The TSA Pre✓® IndentoGo Mobile RV is returning to Santa Barbara Airport (SBA). TSA Pre✓® is an expedited screening program that enables identified low-risk air travelers to enjoy a smart and efficient screening experience. The Mobile Enrollment Center will be located in front of the airport’s historic terminal June 24-28 and July 1-3 from 9:00am-5:00pm each day. Travelers are encouraged to make an appointment in advance at universalenroll.dhs.gov to assure immediate service. The onsite process requires fingerprinting, proof of citizenship with a photo ID, and payment of an $85 application fee, good for five years.
The TSA Pre✓® application program allows U.S. citizens and lawful permanent residents to directly apply for TSA Pre✓®. Once approved, travelers will receive a “Known Traveler Number” (which can be added to a travelers airline profile and reservations) and will have the opportunity to utilize TSA Pre✓® lanes at select security checkpoints when flying on over 50 carriers that currently participate in TSA Pre✓® . For TSA Pre✓® travelers, there is no need to remove shoes, 3-1-1 liquids, laptops, light outerwear or belts. Today, TSA Pre✓® has more than 450 lanes at 200+ U.S. airports.
“Although TSA security wait times at SBA are pretty short, the TSA Pre✓® benefits really make a difference when traveling back through larger airports,” said Airport Director Henry Thompson. “It’s a program we highly recommend for added travel ease and convenience.”
SBA is offering the TSA Pre✓® IndentoGO mobile unit as a community service and does not collect any portion of the application fees.
