Delta Air Lines Direct Service to Salt Lake City Commences

Santa Barbara Airport (SBA) will host an inaugural event on Monday, August 12, 2019 where local dignitaries and airline representatives will welcome the arrival of the first Delta Air Lines flight from Salt Lake City International Airport (SLC). Delta Air Lines is making a bold commitment to the Santa Barbara region with three daily nonstop flights to Salt Lake City. Delta’s comfortable 76-seat Embraer 175 aircraft will connect Santa Barbara in less than two hours to a world-class hub with flights to more than 90 domestic and international destinations in the world’s largest airline network.

Fourth of July Holiday Reminders from Santa Barbara Airport

Summer travel is in full swing at Santa Barbara Airport (SBA) with a 20% increase in passenger travel this Fourth of July holiday. Passengers are encouraged to plan ahead and are reminded that fireworks are prohibited from traveling in your checked or carry-on baggage and should be left at home. Ribbon Cutting Celebration for 6100 Hollister Avenue Project

TSA PreCheck® Mobile RV Returning to Santa Barbara Airport

The TSA PreCheck® IndentoGo Mobile RV is returning to Santa Barbara Airport (SBA). TSA PreCheck® is an expedited screening program that enables identified low-risk air travelers to enjoy a smart and efficient screening experience. The Mobile Enrollment Center will be located in front of the airport’s historic terminal June 24-28 and July 1-3 from 9:00am-5:00pm each day. Travelers are encouraged to make an appointment in advance at universalenroll.dhs.gov to assure immediate service. The onsite process requires fingerprinting, proof of citizenship with a photo ID, and payment of an $85 application fee, good for five years.

BUSY MEMORIAL DAY HOLIDAY

The week of this Memorial Day holiday will herald the beginning of the summer travel season at Santa Barbara Airport (SBA). To mark the kick off of summer, Minneapolis-based airline Sun Country Airlines will resume its seasonal direct service from Minneapolis to Santa Barbara tomorrow, Wednesday, May 22. Due to the popularity of this route in 2018, the airline is doubling its number of weekly direct flights to four mid-day arrivals/departures through August.
