Most City administrative offices, libraries, and facilities will be closed from Wednesday, December 23, 2020 through Friday, January 1, 2021. Offices will reopen on Monday, January 4, 2021.

Services Available
Police, fire and harbor patrol emergency services will be fully staffed throughout the office closure. The 9-1-1 emergency service will continue to dispatch calls 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
Water, sewer, and trash bill payments can be mailed or left in the night drop box at City Hall or paid online at utilitiesonline.santabarbaraca.gov. In addition, phone payments may be made by calling (855) 844-0038. Payments will be processed and credited to accounts throughout the closure period. Billing office staff will be available by phone December 23, and December 28 through December 31 from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. at (805) 564-5343.

All Library locations and book drops will reopen on Tuesday, January 5, 2021. Grab 'n Go Service will resume on Wednesday, January 6, 2021.
Pickup of trash, recycling, and yard waste containers following a weekday holiday will be delayed one day. Normally scheduled Friday pickups on December 25 and January 1 will be delayed by one day to Saturday. All other pickup days are on a normal service schedule during this holiday season. Building permit related inspection services will be available all weekdays during the closure except December 25 and January 1. For building permit inspections please call (805) 564-5492 per the inspection instructions in your permit packet. Building and Safety Division counter staff will not be available to accept or review building plans during the holiday closure.
Public Works Inspection will be available all weekdays during the closure with the exception of December 25 and January 1. To schedule a Public Works inspection, please call (805) 564-5396. There will be no counter staff or online Citizen Access services available to accept or review plans during the holiday closure. The Police Department Lobby will be closed on December 25, 2020 and reopen on December 26, 2020. It will also be closed on January 1, 2021 and reopen on January 2, 20221. There will be no vehicle releases on Christmas Day or New Year's Day. Call 9-1-1 to report an emergency or call (805) 882-8900 to report a non-emergency. The City Office of Emergency Services will be open during the holidays from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily. On Thursday, December 24 and Thursday, December 31, the office will be open from 8 a.m. to noon. All City Recreation Centers will remain closed as required by the Regional Stay Home Order.
