In June 2018, the City Council appointed the seven-member Citizens’ Oversight Committee. The Committee includes members from the business and hospitality communities, and its purpose is to ensure that Measure C revenues are spent in a manner consistent with the resolution adopted by City Council.
At the most recent meeting on June 26, 2019, the Committee reviewed status reports for Measure C revenues and funded projects as well as the list of Measure C-funded projects recently adopted by City Council as part of the Fiscal Year 2020 budget. The Committee also received a report on the City’s current Pavement Condition Index (PCI) and the impact of Measure C funds on improving the PCI, a topic of particular importance given the $17.1 million of funding being allocated to street work. To get a better understanding of capital projects and the different funding sources, the Committee also received a report on the Citywide Capital Program.
