On June 12, 2018, City Council formed a Sea-Level Rise (SLR) Adaptation Plan Subcommittee to provide guidance in the preparation of a Sea-Level Rise Adaptation Plan that identifies areas of the City that are vulnerable to sea-level rise and recommends potential actions to adapt over time. The SLR Adaptation Plan Subcommittee consists of nine members from the City Council, Harbor Commission, Parks and Recreation Commission, Planning Commission, and Water Commission.
