All City Board and Commission meetings are cancelled through March, unless meetings can be facilitated through telecommunications to avoid close personal contact. To protect public safety and slow the spread of the COVID-19 virus, the Santa Barbara City Council adopted an emergency proclamation authorizing the City Administrator to take action necessary to respond to the local emergency.
The City of Santa Barbara has 32 Advisory Boards, Commissions, and Committees to advise the City Council on a wide variety of subjects.
The City Council also appoints members or representatives to the following Boards and Commissions that are not advisory to the City Council: Central Coast Commission for Senior Citizens, Housing Authority Commission of the City of Santa Barbara, Metropolitan Transit District Board and the Mosquito and Vector Management District Board.
