NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, pursuant to Section 54974 of the California Government Code, that an unscheduled vacancy has occurred on the following City committee:


NAME OF COMMISSION: Single Family Design Board

PURPOSE:  The Single Family Design Board shall have the responsibility to:

  1. Ensure that single family residential unit projects are compatible with the surrounding neighborhood in size and design;
  2. Protect public visual resources; 
  3. Carefully apply the Neighborhood Preservation Ordinance, Single Family Design Guidelines, and Lower Riviera Design Guidelines, and other adopted City guidelines to single family residential projects; and
  4. Make recommendations to the city council on items as set forth in Section 22.69.020.

MEETINGS:  The Board generally meets every other Monday at 3:00 p.m. in the David Gebhard Public Meeting Room (DGPMR), 630 Garden Street. 

QUALIFICATIONS:  Member shall be a licensed architect and reside within Santa Barbara County.

TERM:  Appointment will fill one unexpired term through June 30, 2018.
