On May 9, the City of Santa Barbara will host a community work session to gather input to revitalize the downtown area. Recommendations from the workshop will be incorporated into the Downtown Strategic Plan.
Please join fellow residents and community leaders to discuss and prioritize innovative solutions to revitalize State Street and the central business district.
Participants will roll up their sleeves, work in teams, and share ideas to address the following major issues:
Retail Renewal and Business Retention
Design and Use of Public Spaces
Transportation and Mobility
Planning and Permitting
Arts, Events, and Marketing
State Street of the Future

1. Please select one primary focus area from the list where you will contribute ideas and help craft a vision. By the end of the workshop, you will have an opportunity to share ideas and prioritize recommendations in all eight focus areas.

4. Invite friends and anyone interested in joining the discussion on reimagining downtown.
