Since 1995, Marck Aguilar has worked in every section of the City of Santa Barbara Planning Division, and served 12 years in the City’s former Redevelopment Agency as a project manager and Supervisor overseeing capital project development through design review and construction. Notable projects included historic railcar restoration, residential property acquisition for conversion to neighborhood park land, and downtown plaza design and sidewalk replacement. Marck coordinated the 2017 adoption of City’s New Zoning Ordinance (NZO), which brought the 60 year old ordinance up to date with current uses and practices. Marck graduated from San Diego State University with a B.S. in Business Administration, Production & Operations Management and earned A.S. degrees locally in Geology and Geography from Santa Barbara City College.
