Living Wage Information

Through June 30, 2022, vendors that are paid $20,998 or more in business with the City of Santa Barbara in a fiscal year (July to June) are required to pay $19.60 per hour.  The threshold and hourly rates are adjusted annually based on changes to the January to January CPI for Urban Wage Earners and Clerical Workers for Los Angeles-Riverside-Orange County, California.

The City of Santa Barbara is seeking individuals to serve on the Living Wage Advisory Committee for the following 3 open positions: Owner/Manager of a Business located in the City, Nominee of the Chamber or Downtown Organization, and Employee of a Local Non-Profit Entity. If you are interested in making a difference in your community, contributing ideas, and being part of the City team, you are strongly encouraged to apply.
