What is Utilities Online?


Utilities Online enables City of Santa Barbara customers to manage their account over the Internet. Using Utilities Online is very easy, convenient, safe and secure. With these services, your payment will post to your account more quickly than a traditional payment by check. Plus you can review account information, usage patterns, view bill inserts, and much more!

Any City of Santa Barbara customer is eligible.

Is there any addition cost to use Utilities Online?

No, there are no additional fees.

How do I sign up for Utilities Online?

 It’s easy! Simply go to our web site at https://UtilitiesOnline.SantaBarbaraCA.gov/ and complete the registration page. Your registration will be processed immediately, and a verification code for your initial login will be emailed to you. You may begin making online payments with your first login.

What information do I need?

You will need to enter your account number. Please enter all numbers, including the zeros. These numbers are located on the top left of your bill, under the heading "Account Information".

What can I use as my Username?

 Your Username can be anything you want. There is not a specific combination of letters, numbers or special characters required. It is not case sensitive. You will use this Username every time you login to Utilities Online.

What can I use as my Password?

 Your password must be at least 7 characters long, but it can be anything you want. There is not a specific combination of letters, numbers or special characters required. It is case sensitive.

Where is my Verification Code?

 A Verification Code is necessary for your initial login to Utilities Online. When you successfully register your account, a Verification Code will be sent to your email address. If you do not see this email in your Inbox, please check your Junk Email folder. Your Internet Service Provider or Email Provider may have automatically flagged the email as Junk. If you did not receive the email, you may have mistyped your email address during registration. Please call Utility Billing Customer Service at 805-564-5343 and we will provide your Verification Code.
