There is no denying it; Santa Barbara has some outstanding views.  Nestled between the Santa Ynez Mountains and the Pacific Ocean, one can go just about anywhere for a spectacular view.  Views from the mountains span south toward the Channel Islands, downtown, Montecito, and on clear days beyond. 

Nearer to town, and directly east and adjacent to Mission Santa Barbara, is a hill known locally as the "Riviera," traversed by "Alameda Padre Serra" (shortened APS), "Father Serra's pathway."  Views here include downtown, the islands and ocean.

Coastal bluffs make for spectacular views of the mountain backdrop or ocean sunset.  Below are some of Santa Barbara’s top spots to catch a view.
