Volunteer Opportunities

Volunteers increase the quality and breadth of Library services for everyone in the community. Thank you for considering contributing your time and skills.

If you are interested, contact the library where you would like to volunteer. If you want to become an adult literacy tutor anywhere in the library system, contact the Adult Literacy Program at 805-564-5619 or literacy@SantaBarbaraCA.gov.

Volunteer applications are available at each library or can be downloaded above. Once your application is received, you will be contacted for an interview to discuss your skills, interests and potential responsibilities. Every effort is made to ensure both a rewarding experience for every volunteer and enhancement of services to all Library patrons.

Teens: Click here for information about volunteer opportunities or contact Youth Services at (805) 564-5603.

PLEASE NOTE: The Library volunteer program cannot be used to fulfill court-ordered community service hours.
