Lokee the Therapy Dog Volunteers at SBA

Santa Barbara Airport (SBA) is pleased to announce the arrival of Lokee the Therapy Dog, a certified Grand Champion Keeshond, owned and handled by Larry Reiche. Since March Larry and Lokee have been visiting the Airport to engage with the traveling public.

Nonstop Service to DFW Begins June 2

American Airlines (AA) will begin non-stop service to Dallas/Fort Worth (DFW) starting June 2. The reinstatement of service to Dallas represents ongoing efforts by the Santa Barbara Airport to bring back the popular destination. American Airlines previously flew the SBA-DFW route from 1983 to 1993 and from 2004 to 2009.

Minor Injuries to Pilot After Engine Failure at Airport

The Santa Barbara Airport is reporting that at approximately 5:41 p.m. on February 8th a single engine Beechcraft Bonanza, N113TM took off from runway 25 and experienced engine failure at 300 feet above therunway. The pilot landed the plane in the Goleta Slough basin, experienced minor injuries, and was transported to Cottage Hospital.
