The Neighborhood and Outreach Services Division is currently accepting applications for a Culinary Manager at the Westside Community Kitchen.  General knowledge of commercial kitchen operation and maintenance required.  This position will be charged with assuring a sanitary and organized environment, as well as scheduling, training and supervising all aspects of kitchen operations.  Assures compliance with all state, local and federal mandates related to the kitchen.  Ability to perform under limited supervision.  Please submit applications to the Human Resources Office, 735 Anacapa Street.  For more information, please click on the link.

SANTA BARBARA PUBLIC LIBRARY - CENTRAL BRANCH  Job duties vary but may include sorting and shelving library materials and files, emptying library book drops, maintaining orderly materials collections, responding to questions from public by directing them to proper source for assistance, basic processing of library materials. Driving a City vehicle and performing errands and deliveries may be required. Valid CA Driver's License and driver record print-out may be required. Requires physical stamina and strength sufficient to move loaded book carts and lift book bags and packages weighing up to 40 pounds; bending, lifting and stretching; accuracy in shelving and sorting in alphabetical and decimal number order. May be required to answer phone or check-in library materials or to give very basic assistance to public.  Excellent customer service skills required.  16-20 hours/week, Days/Hours vary.  NO RESUMES ACCEPTED IN LIEU OF APPLICATIONS.  Applications accepted at Library Administration office: 40 E. The Santa Barbara Parks and Recreation Department is currently accepting applications for the Academic year 2014-2015. Under the direction of the A-OK Site Coordinator for Santa Barbara Unified School District or RAP Site Director for City Parks and Recreation, the Program Leader supervises a group of 15-20 students, assisting with homework help and providing enrichment activities.  Program Leaders plan and deliver curricula, consider age level developmental needs and interests of participants, is a role model for students, support students to experience a variety of learning opportunities, and creates a positive environment with a goal of 100% participation.  RAP and A-OK operates at eleven Santa Barbara Unified Elementary Schools.  Applicants available the full 180 school days for the academic year 2014-2015 are encouraged to apply.  If you are interested in applying, please email your application and resume to Terry Brown,  Applications are also accepted at the Human Resources Office, 735 Anacapa Street.
