The Santa Barbara Airport is currently seeking an individual to perform hourly custodial maintenance.  Prior experience and good customer service skills are required.  Open day or night shifts will be offered to the successful applicant, but there is no set work schedule or guaranteed number of hours each week.  Applicant must successfully pass a background check to qualify.  Apply at Airport Administration, 601 Firestone Road, Goleta, CA  93117.  For more information please call David DePonce at (805) 692-6094.

Will assist with all aspects of the library branch, including:  circulation desk, such as checking materials in and out, assisting patrons with library needs and questions, answering phones, creating new library records, having the ability to tactfully enforce library policies and rules, able to work in a busy environment, and other duties as needed.  Must have the ability to: lift up to 50 pounds; provide excellent customer service; enforce library rules and policies; be courteous and helpful with all patrons; learn computer systems and navigate the Internet; perform various library-related tasks as needed; have a flexible schedule and ability to adjust to the needs of the library; ability to communicate, speak and read in Spanish is highly desirable.  This position will work 15-20 hours per week, afternoons, evenings, and weekends.  Applications must be submitted to the Goleta Library, 500 N. Harbormaster’s Office.  Work with Harbor Patrol and other Admin staff.  Greet and assign visiting boaters to guest slips.  Cashier, dispatch, phones and general clerical work.  Computer literate. Previous cash handling, public contact and radio communications desirable.  32 hours/week, weekend and holiday shifts required. SANTA BARBARA PUBLIC LIBRARY - CENTRAL BRANCH  Job duties vary but may include sorting and shelving library materials and files, emptying library book drops, maintaining orderly materials collections, responding to questions from public by directing them to proper source for assistance, basic processing of library materials. Driving a City vehicle and performing errands and deliveries may be required. Valid CA Driver's License and driver record print-out may be required. Requires physical stamina and strength sufficient to move loaded book carts and lift book bags and packages weighing up to 40 pounds; bending, lifting and stretching; accuracy in shelving and sorting in alphabetical and decimal number order. The Santa Barbara Parks and Recreation Department is currently accepting applications for the Academic year 2014-2015. Under the direction of the A-OK Site Coordinator for Santa Barbara Unified School District or RAP Site Director for City Parks and Recreation, the Program Leader supervises a group of 15-20 students, assisting with homework help and providing enrichment activities.  Program Leaders plan and deliver curricula, consider age level developmental needs and interests of participants, is a role model for students, support students to experience a variety of learning opportunities, and creates a positive environment with a goal of 100% participation.  RAP and A-OK operates at eleven Santa Barbara Unified Elementary Schools.  Applicants available the full 180 school days for the academic year 2014-2015 are encouraged to apply.  If you are interested in applying, please email your application and resume to Terry Brown,  Applications are also accepted at the Human Resources Office, 735 Anacapa Street.
