|CLERICAL ASSISTANT I||$11.20 - $13.40/HR D.O.E.|
|Under the direction of the Administrative Specialist for the Aquatics Division, this position will be responsible for the following tasks: Provide high quality customer service when assisting participants, staff and the public. Demonstrate the ability to handle multiple tasks; including, answering phones, greeting the public, and providing accurate program information. Prepare facilities for daily operations including opening and closing procedures. Accept and process admission fees for programs. Perform minimal custodial work as needed. Report any problems with facilities and/or facility equipment to supervisor. Complete paperwork necessary to job. Follow established City policies and procedures. Provide safety precautions and properly handle emergencies according to established City emergency policies and procedures. Perform related duties and responsibilities as required. Familiarity with computer operations and familiarity with Microsoft Office including Word and Excel is desirable. First Aid and CPR certification is required within one month of hire if not already in place. Bilingual (English/Spanish) desirable. Availability must include weekdays. Additional hours may be scheduled subject to availability, or increased between May and September during the busy summer months. |Ability to provide exceptional levels of customer service to the downtown patrons entering and exiting our City’s parking lots. Answer customer questions in a professional and friendly manner. Receive tickets from customers exiting the parking lots. Determine applicable fees, collect fees and make change in an accurate and timely manner. Deposit daily revenue by correctly counting money and filling out forms in a legible manner. |NEIGHBORHOOD FACILITIES MONITOR||$11.20/HR D.O.E.|
The Parks and Recreation Department is recruiting for Neighborhood Facilities Monitors to oversee private parties and special events at neighborhood centers on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays to ensure customers are following rules and regulations, including required music decibel levels. Hours vary month to month based on rentals booked at each facility. Must be responsible and dependable, have a valid driver’s license, have solid communication skills and work independently. Bi-lingual a plus but not required. Position is ideal for a retiree, college student or person with a flexible schedule. RECREATION PROGRAM LEADER (A-OK & RAP)

The Santa Barbara Parks and Recreation Department is currently accepting applications for the Academic year 2015-2016. Under the direction of the A-OK Site Coordinator for Santa Barbara Unified School District or RAP Site Director for City Parks and Recreation, the Program Leader supervises a group of 15-20 students, assisting with homework help and providing enrichment activities. Program Leaders plan and deliver curricula, consider age level developmental needs and interests of participants, is a role model for students, support students to experience a variety of learning opportunities, and creates a positive environment with a goal of 100% participation. RAP and A-OK operates at eleven Santa Barbara Unified Elementary Schools. Applicants available the full 180 school days for the academic year 2015-2016 are encouraged to apply. |WATERFRONT WORKER VII||$12.90/HR|
|The City of Santa Barbara's Waterfront Department is currently hiring for two positions, one position at Sterns Wharf and one position at the Harbor. Positions will work 24 - 32 hours per week. Shift hours are 14:00 - 23:00, 16:00 - 23:00 and 7:30 - 16:00, includes Saturday and Sunday work and swing shift hours. Duties will include light maintenance and custodian work. Must have current California Drivers License.
