This is a temporary hourly position working for the Golf Course Division at the Santa Barbara Municipal Golf Course.  The position will be part-time, working a maximum of 950 hours through June 30, 2016.  We are looking for experienced personnel who are available to work 4-8 hours per day.  Qualified candidate should have working knowledge of daily golf course operations and maintenance procedures. Looking for energetic persons with attention to detail who enjoy working with the public in a busy environment, are experienced with computers and digital media, and able to lift bags weighing up to 25 pounds.  The Libraries are seeking team players who can provide exemplary customer service to all individuals and actively participate in maintaining a positive customer service environment. The Santa Barbara Parks and Recreation Department is currently accepting applications for the Academic year 2015-2016. The current opening is an hourly, entry-level position in the Water Distribution section.  Candidates may have limited or no directly-related work experience.  Example of duties: Under general supervision, perform a variety of duties and tasks related to the operation, installation, construction and maintenance of complex water distribution and recycled water systems.  Duties include assisting with water system flushing, fire hydrant maintenance, water meter replacements, emergency response for water and recycled water facilities.  Must be able to tactfully interface with the public, follow directions with safe work practices and in regard to protecting the City's drinking water quality, and be available for stand-by duties that include being on-call after hours and responding to emergency problems at any hour.  A valid California Driver License is required at the time of appointment.  Applications will be reviewed and the most qualified candidates will be invited to participate in the selection process, which may consist of an application rating and/or oral examination.  Monday - Friday; 40 hours/week.  Please submit completed application to City Hall, located at 735 Anacapa Street.  The deadline to apply is 5:30 P.M. on Monday, August 10, 2015.
