The City of Santa Barbara Airport is looking to hire an administrative specialist to provide clerical assistance. Examples of duties include: general office work; accurate data entry; answering phones; greeting clients, tenants, and customers; organizing; filing; faxing; proofreading; general correspondence including emails and memos, verifying information, scanning, making copies; handling mail; participating in a variety of record keeping duties; participating in accounts receivable and payable activities; preparing bank deposits; auditing invoices, time records, statements and requisitions.

LOT OPERATOR I, II, III                        $9.40-$9.90/HR D.O.E.
Ability to provide exceptional levels of customer service to the downtown patrons entering and exiting our City’s parking lots. Answer customer questions in a professional and friendly manner. Receive tickets from customers exiting the parking lots. Determine applicable fees, collect fees and make change in an accurate and timely manner. Deposit daily revenue by correctly counting money and filling out forms in a legible manner. The Parks and Recreation Department is recruiting for Neighborhood Facilities Monitors to oversee private parties and special events at  neighborhood centers on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays to ensure customers are following rules and regulations, including required music decibel levels. Hours vary month to month based on rentals booked at each facility. Must be responsible and dependable, have a valid driver’s license, have solid communication skills and work independently. Part-time position hours varied.  Under general supervision performs a variety of functions related to the maintenance and preservation of police records, and support duties in the Police Records Bureau.  Enter data including arrest and crime information, traffic accidents, property and evidence, records, fingerprints and booking identification, restraining orders and subpoenas into local and/or State and National computerized files; input corrections and updates; verify data for accuracy and completeness; maintain a variety of statistical records; purge information as necessary.  Answer telephone and computer inquiries, assist at the public service counter; take and record crime information; provide information on City policies/procedures and legal statutes/requirements pertinent to law enforcement; receive found property or evidence; verify ownership and release towed vehicles. Complete a variety of reports, forms, and logs; file, copy, and distribute reports; participate in the maintenance of a complex filing system; perform various clerical duties in support of assigned functions.  Calculate and collect fees for fingerprinting, reports, clearance letters, photographs, etc. Collect bail for warrants; set court dates; clear warrants from local or State system; issue receipts and forward monies to appropriate court.  Operate a variety of office equipment including computer/printer, cash register, copier, FAX, scanner, Live Scan fingerprint machine, microfilm reader/printer, and switchboard; input and retrieve data and text.  Process the mail including receiving, sorting, and distributing incoming and outgoing correspondence.   As necessary, perform female pat-down searches and strip searches or obtain urine samples from in-custody defendants; supervise juveniles in temporary hold situations; assist in temporary detention of drunk drivers, and clerical support work for Police personnel as needed.  Perform related duties and responsibilities as required.  Work Schedule: 24 hour coverage, may be assigned to any shift.

The Santa Barbara Parks and Recreation Department is currently accepting applications for the Academic year 2015-2016. The City of Santa Barbara's Waterfront Department is currently hiring for two positions, one position at Sterns Wharf and one position at the Harbor.  Positions will work 24 - 32 hours per week.  Shift hours are 14:00 - 23:00, 16:00 - 23:00 and 7:30 - 16:00, includes Saturday and Sunday work and swing shift hours.  Duties will include light maintenance and custodian work.  Must have current California Drivers License.  Applications may be picked up and submitted at the Harbor Maintenance office located at 117 C Harbor Way between the hours of 7:30 - 12:00 and 13:00 - 16:00.
