|AIRPORT OPERATIONS AIDE||$16.69/HR|
Under general supervision performs routine duties related to parking control and security functions at the terminal building. Primary duties include: conduct random inspections of employees who are seeking to enter a restricted area of the Airport; conduct security inspections of the airline terminal building and commercial aviation ramp; inspect vendor deliveries and delivery personnel to ensure that prohibited items are not introduced into the Sterile Area of the Airline Terminal building; other duties as assigned. The Airport Operations Aide must be able to remain calm and effective under pressure; conduct routing inspections and patrols of landside, airside and terminal facilities and surrounding areas; ensure compliance with applicable rules and regulations; respond to violations; understand and follow written and verbal instructions; communicate clearly and concisely , both orally and in writing; clearly and tactfully communicate factual information to citizens; work independently in the absence of supervision; establish and maintain effective working relationships with those contacted in the course of work, including City officials and the general public; learn, correctly interpret and apply Department / City policies and procedures.

|AIRPORT OPERATIONS SPECIALIST||$22.16/HR|
Under direction from the Airport Operations Supervisor, this the Airport Operations Specialist provides emergency and routine control, monitoring and dispatch functions and activities of the Security Operations Center; responds as needed for operational duties/requirements on the Airport; serves as the Airport's central point of contact for airport tenants and outside agencies; and provides responsible staff assistance to the Airport Operations Supervisor.
Candidates for this position must have the ability to remain calm and effective under pressure situations; assess a given situation and determine the appropriate response; remember instructions and information; learn radio operations and procedures; type and enter data into the computer at a speed necessary for successful job performance; understand and follow oral and written instructions; clearly and tactfully communicate factual information to citizens; communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing; prepare clear and concise reports; and work independently in the absence of supervision.
One year of airport operations experience, experience as a dispatcher in a communications center, and/or a valid pilot’s license is desirable.

|AIRPORT PATROL OFFICER||$28.91/HR|
Under general supervision, provide armed airport law enforcement with arrest and detention authority to comply with Transportation Security Agency Regulations and utilizing the City’s Airport Security Program.
The Airport Patrol Officer must have knowledge of principles and practices associated with criminal justice procedures and investigative techniques; California vehicle and penal code; firearm safety and self-defense. The Airport Patrol Officer must be able to prepare clear and concise reports; effectively use a firearm, baton and chemical agents; enforce City and Airport codes, ordinances, rules and regulations; and communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing.

|AIRPORT TRAFFIC AIDE||$12.65/HR|
|Patrol the loading zone in front of the Airport Terminal building and parking lots to ensure the orderly flow of vehicular traffic by explaining parking regulations to motorists or by issuing citations. Staff the exit lane in the airline terminal building to ensure unauthorized persons do not enter the concourse. May be required to serve as an escort in restricted areas of the Airport. |Part-time position hours varied. Under general supervision performs a variety of functions related to the maintenance and preservation of police records, and support duties in the Police Records Bureau. Enter data including arrest and crime information, traffic accidents, property and evidence, records, fingerprints and booking identification, restraining orders and subpoenas into local and/or State and National computerized files; input corrections and updates; verify data for accuracy and completeness; maintain a variety of statistical records; purge information as necessary. Answer telephone and computer inquiries, assist at the public service counter; take and record crime information; provide information on City policies/procedures and legal statutes/requirements pertinent to law enforcement; receive found property or evidence; verify ownership and release towed vehicles. Complete a variety of reports, forms, and logs; file, copy, and distribute reports; participate in the maintenance of a complex filing system; perform various clerical duties in support of assigned functions. Calculate and collect fees for fingerprinting, reports, clearance letters, photographs, etc. Collect bail for warrants; set court dates; clear warrants from local or State system; issue receipts and forward monies to appropriate court. Youth Sports Coaches are assigned to local elementary school teams for children in the second through sixth grades. Coaches lead practice sessions and games throughout the traditional school year (September-May). All Youth Sports Coaches must be available Monday-Friday from 2:30PM-5:30PM; coaches work approximately 5-10 hours per week, depending upon whether coaches take on one or two teams.
