The Building and Fire Code Board of Appeals was established in 1983 to interpret the provisions of the Building and Fire Codes, including the suitability of alternate materials. Before the establishment of this Board, such appeals were heard by the Architectural Board of Review.
|Membership||A panel of 8 members appointed by City Council, 5 of whom serve at any one appeal. These 5 are selected by the Community Development Director and Fire Chief according to the nature of the appeal and the expertise of the members selected.|
