The 2009 Santa Barbara Harbor and Seafood Festival will be held on Saturday, October 10th. The Harbor and Seafood Festival is presented by the City, Commercial Fishermen of Santa Barbara, Inc., Santa Barbara Harbor Merchants’ Association, and the Santa Barbara Maritime Museum. The festival will highlight fresh seafood from the Santa Barbara Channel and live musical entertainment. Festival-goers will have an opportunity to meet local fishermen and enjoy fresh lobster, crab, prawns, and sea bass. Seafood Cooking Demonstrations at Chuck’s Waterfront Grill will include seafood handling and preparation tips. In addition to enjoying seafood and cooking demonstrations, a raffle will be held. The winner will win a new smart car built by Mercedes. Admission is free. Festival-goers can purchase a raffle ticket for $20 each or three tickets for $50. All proceeds support the Santa Barbara Maritime Museum’s Education programs, exhibits, and general operating funds. Raffle tickets are available at the Museum Store by calling 962-8404, extension 104. For more information about this year’s Harbor and Seafood Festival, visit: www.HarborFestival.org.
