2010 Parade of Lights – Silver Bells and Winter Swells
The 25^th Annual Parade of Lights takes place Sunday, December 12.  Festivities begin with a Santa’s Village event at 3:00 p.m. on the City Pier. There will be a visit from Santa, and he’s bringing 10-tons of snow for children to play in, plus holiday music.  A tree lighting ceremony on Stearns Wharf will start the parade at 5:30 p.m. Distinguished judges, along with thousand of spectators will cheer on 30-50 boaters parading to the theme of “Silver Bells and Winter Swells.”  A short fireworks display will follow the boat parade, followed in turn by an awards ceremony and after-party at the Santa Barbara Maritime Museum, catered by The Endless Summer bar-café.  This year’s entertaining family event marks a quarter-of-a-century of harbor and boating tradition.
