San Juan became a Sister City in 2000. It is situated in the central part of the Metropolitan Manila, with a population of about 425,000. Visitors to San Juan can visit many historical sites, such as the old convent of Kabayan and Sanctuario de Santo Cristo Church, originally built in 1602 and reconstructed in 1774, along with buildings that date back to the Spanish-Filipino way. National festivals are held within the city on February 4, March 27, May 3, and August 30, to commemorate historical events, such as the Battle of Finaglabanan that sparked the Philippine Revolution in August 1896. Here in Santa Barbara, the group plays an active role in the programs sponsored by the Sister Cities Board. Contact Information ยท Jeremy Hass (805) 965-3705 hassjd@cox.net
