ABOUT THE COURSE

Golf and Creeks Projects Completed!
Santa Barbara Golf Club has two new beautiful greens and a continuous cart path system, which allows for year-round golf cart access. The recently opened 5th and 11th greens are over 5,000 square feet, built to US Golf Association standards, and are seeded with premium bentgrass. The improvements make this already wonderful course even better.

The Upper Las Positas Creek Restoration and Storm Water Management Project was also recently completed. It features a series of newly restored creek channels, storm water retention basins, and smaller pools that will filter polluted urban runoff from the City’s golf course, Adams School, and adjacent neighborhoods before it reaches Arroyo Burro Beach and Pacific Ocean. Over 10,000 native plants installed during the project will aid in treating harmful bacteria and other pollutants, while providing wildlife habitat and landscape improvements. The majority of the project funding was secured by the Creeks Division through a competitive grant process. To learn more about this project visit: www.sbcreeks.com
