 | City Sandbag Policy |
| The City provides residents with sandbags to protect private property under storm emergency conditions of heavy rain and runoff. Distribution sites will be opened when a "Flood Watch" is issued by National Weather Service. |

| The goal of the Wildland Fire Plan is to develop a comprehensive, coordinated Wildland Fire Program to protect lives, property, and natural resources threatened by wildland fire. The Fire Department recognizes the catastrophic impact of wildfire in our community and is committed to reducing hazards and risk through fire protection, fuel hazard reduction, public education, preparedness, and community involvement. |

 | Harbor |
| Santa Barbara Harbor Patrol Officers provide security and law enforcement services to the Waterfront area. The harbor and marinas are maintained by regular foot, vehicle and boat patrols over an area consisting of 84 acres of water and 40 acres of land. All areas are monitored several times each day. |

 | Wildland Fire Suppression Assessment District |
| On June 16, 2009 City Council approved the renewal of the Wildland Fire Suppression Assessment District, which has successfully achieved a reduction of the risks and threats of wildland fires through reduction of flammable vegetation. |
